are these creeks worth it??also when they say if i detectors coil is waterproof, does that mean it is submersable<sp>Huh???and up to what foot in water is that?..thanks folks.gregg

Remember anuthing that may be in the creek may be deeper..also, really look around large stones or at bends in the creek, thats where things will get hung up when the creek fills and flows quickly.

just the coil do not submerge the control box unless you have an under water detector

Well I would hold off on that..A friend got the ciol of his minelab wet and he had to replace it as it shorted.

I think the creek looks like it might be well worth a try. However it bears a certain risk of dumping your detector into the wet mud by accident.  If you do not have a fully submersible UW machine it might help to hip mount it.

If the manufactuer says a coil is water proof just the coil and per say the coil would short you do have a warranty they are responsible for a replacement most places would sooner replace your part for free are risk losing future buisness from getting a bad name
