Well, it's the time to be shameless!    Have your husband get you the best machine they have The better the machine, the likelier you will make good finds. A cheap detector may miss some of the deeper or difficult to detect targets.

A good machine to buy would be the Tesoro DeLeon for example:

- Target ID Meter
- Lightweight
- Easy to use
- Easy to pin point small items

Its good to be here as this is a really diffo site to what I am regularly taking part with as a rule...
I DO also belong to a VINTAGE radio and similar valved (tubed to you yanks ) site here in the UK
I also ran a couple of private semi political/ Current affairs forums here in the UK also...I had also been involved with politics in the UK some years back so this is a refreshing change
I note that maybe we are worlds apart regarding finds and maybe what we HOPE to find?
As you can imagine we are steeped in history here in the UK and detectors enjoy many early war finds as well as the really historic finds as in Roman remains etc.
I shall persevere with my basic detector for a while as I am really casual about detecting ATM...I also have the "gift" for Dowsing (Devining) and my home made dowsing rods are extremely lively...
