 Hi Vaggelis!  Welcome
Thankyou for your warm welcome, thunter, and everyone! We are looking forward to learning and sharing knowledge on this forum!
In reply about the dust storm in Australia, we live in Victoria and were not affected by it. I understand, the dust was from inland farmland and central Australia, hence the redness of the dust. It affected NSW and Queensland, not sure about it uncovering nuggets. If I hear of anything, I will let you know.
It is a lovely day here, so we are taking all kids out for a bush-walk and picnic and of course our detector!!!  Detecting Let you know how we fair.

Hello Monkey Girl,

Just a picture to forget that certain rules of courtesy and respect.

But age and experience of years we have brought wisdom and good living.

And as we say in French: Bienvenue et Bonne prospection.

Welcome monkeys girl ... tell me is a bush-walk and a walk-about the same thing? Australia has always been on my list of places to see and experience.

Hi jimi
A bush walk is a bit different to going walk-about. Walk-about is from the Aboriginals, meaning they wander far from home to gather food, or just to re-connect with nature. We use the term walk-about when we can't find someone! A bush-walk is just that. I suppose it can have different meanings for everyone. Hope that helps!
Australia is very beautiful. It depends where you go and depends on what you want to see. We have everything from gorgeous beaches, to rainforests, deserts and also large cities. You will love it over here! I hope you get the chance to visit Australia! Lots of places to detect, if you are into that.
