Go Up Go Down

 Hello

Hey everyone! I'm completely new to this hobby, but it seemed to go with my other hobby, photography, especially of abandoned places and ghost towns.... I woke up one day and thought 'All of this has been above ground for hundreds of years, imagine whats below..'
I have several galleries on Ontarioabandonedplaces and my FB acct if anyones interested in the links  Smiley
Lookin forward to fun and adventures on here!

 John

 Welcome  from eastern Washington state.

My other hobby is photography as well.  Metal detecting is a dirty hobby so be careful with your camera when combining the two hobbies.

Been using a Lumix DMC-FT2 (sold as the DMS-TS2 in North America) for a few years now when I go swing a machine. Forget about getting any bokeh with that camera, but it will stand up to water, mud, drops and rough handling. The latest iteration is the DMC-FT5/ DMC-TS5 with more bells and whistles. Be warned that the waterproof seals have to be changed yearly.

Thanks for the idea with the camera Hobbyist.  I currently lug my Nikon SLR around.  I do have a Nikon Coolpix I carry in my deer hunting pack.  Maybe I should switch to that one.
