Hello, My name is Daniel FitzGerald I am a United States Marine, I have always wanted to get into treasure hunting, me and my buddies plan on buying a couple Garrett ACE 250's within the next couple of months. I currently live in North Carolina. If you have any Ideas where in NC to start hunting please let me know. Also if you have any words of advice please let me know also.

Hello, Daniel.

    Welcome to THunting.com.   You're going to find a lot of the few around here.   And you're going to find a lot of people who want to help you succeed at treasure hunting.
    Knowing where you are in North Carolina will help us give you some ideas (although the best place to start is in the library learning the history of the area---especially read the local history books--they'll give you all kinds of leads).  Since you didn't say where you are, we'll assume you're in the vicinity of Camp Lejuene until you tell us otherwise.

Given all the pirate activity (not to mention the civil war blockade running) anywhere along the coast or the outer banks should be good hunting.    If you want quality gemstones and raw gold, you'll need to head deep inland into western NC, but they have excellent specimens that bring a very pretty penny.
