Hi Guys,

New to the forum but not to metal detecting... have been detecting for 10 years with Minelab Gear and searching for gold with moderate success. I am always on the look-out for ways to improve my success rate but in my experience in comes down to research, persistence and luck.

I am interested in the newer technologies such as GPR for mapping bedrock etc and have been reading with interest the debate about LRL's.

I have a Science back-ground and I still haven't seen an adequate explanation of the the science behind these LRL devices; therefore am skeptical but have an open mind. IMHO if these devices worked then the Mining Companies would be all over them as it would save them thousands in drilling costs. Whenever i am in the outback on detecting trips, I still see lots of drill crews working and lots of new drill holes so i guess they are sticking to the "tired and tested" methods......

Cheers

Welcome from Arizona.    Sounds like you have a pretty good head on your shoulders (other than getting wrapped up in this whole business to start with  Cool )

Good on Your Part!   Stick with Your Instincts.   Science Back ground and have some Smarts.

No One to this Date have been able to Prove a LRL works with any  Science Facts!

Carl has offered some serious money to anyone who can.

All we see is excuses, Reasons and Because.
