hello.

     I HAVE BEEN A DESERT RAT FOR YEARS. I LOVE HISTORY, AND HAVE BEEN EXPLORING OUT OF THE WAY PLACES IN NEVADA. MY SON BOUGHT ME A SHARP SHOOTER II DETECTOR. ALL WINTER I HAVE BEEN LEARNING HOW TO USE IT. TOOK IT OUT YESTERDAY TO A OLD HOMESTEAD. AND FOUND ALOT OF NAILS, WIRE, ONE OLD BULLET. NOW I AM HOOKED, SO I DECIDED TO JOIN THIS FORUM. TIME TO LEARN EVERYTHING I CAN SOAK INTO MY BRAIN.

THANKS GALVESTON, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE FORUM FOR QUITE SOMETIME. ONE REASON I JOINED WAS ALL THE BUZZ ABOUT METEORITES, BECAUSE OF THE NEW SHOW. I HAVE 3 DRY LAKE BEDS WITHIN 50 MILES OF WHERE I LIVE IN NORTHERN NEVADA. I KNOW THAT I HAVE PICKED UP METEORITES AROUND HERE I JUST LOOKED AT THEM AND THOUGHT THEY WERE WEIRD ROCKS AND CHUCKED THEM OVER MY SHOULDER. I DO ALOT OF GOLD PANNING AND LOOKING FOR GOLD SIGN. BUT METEORITES ARE SOUNDING LIKE A FUN PROJECT FOR ME

Hi Trapperman, Here's a link I have for Nevada Meteorites. I'd have meteorites on my list of things to look for in NV - since you wouldn't have lots of grass & trees hiding them, seems they'd stick out like a sore thumb  Smiley  Good luck and welcome to thunting. Sue
