While you must do so, at least you have relatives that can do your bidding. Vicarious accomplishment can be nearly as much fun as doing it yourself. Remember what it was like to experience sports when your kids were playing? I do.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Hello Ray,
Everyone here at Metal Detector Distributors in NYC wish you a fast recovery and a happy retirement. You may not remember me, some 25 years or so went buy. I was one of the first guys to purchase a Phanton metal detector from you. 1980's I think. Best wishes  Ettore

Greetings, Mr Ray

I inherited a Phantom (Richard Ray, Manvel Texas) VLF/TR 15KHz metal detector from my Dad, but I don't have any instructions or documentation.  Are you the same Richard Ray?  Can you offer any advice or recommendations?  I'm on the east side of Dallas.

Thanks,
Mark

p.s. I trust there is only one email - not sure if I sent this more than once. Here is a link to a newspaper add from a couple of years ago.

I figure that someone lost this replica pistol was probably lost while crossing the creek within the last 10 to 29 years as most found weapons are in this condition:
