Found a nice map circa 1950 of the nature coast, north of Tampa Fl.  in an antique store this weekend. It shows where the best fishing places were at that time. It also shows where the boat ramps and camp sites are. I asked the lady running the store if she had anything that might show the location of the early settlements here and the map was what she came up with. gambol

Gambol, that will give you some idea where the recreation spots were back then. Small family businesses used to run those things and many have simply gone away leaving behind bare property with the coins dropped by hundreds if not thousands of people boating, fishing and picnicking in the areas. A nice find, that map.

no I havent had it checked not sure where i would go outside of someone online I havent had very good exp.'s with dealers in my area  almost all are crooks! Honestly I dont know much about old magazines and alumni periodicals.
