Hi, everyone.  VLF user here. No previous PI experience

I bought Vandal Pulse 3 from crazy-tech +  2 coils.

Received the unit 2 weeks ago and have yet to be able to set them up and working.  I received no manual, cant seemingly find any. Contacting the guy w/o response..(I can hear your thoughts) I am not sure even what voltage to use although Vandal pulse 2 used 9-12v so I used that as a voltage.   

So,I am not sure if  there is something wrong with the unit I received or it is my own plain PI-newbieness.(I hope for the latter Smiley).

Going through the settings  of V.P 3  there seems to be no response at all from any piece of metal I am hovering over the coil.. Cry 

Used  all metal and  disc. modes,  tried low and high sensitivities, high and low thresholds, VCO on and off. The detector is surely on, working and buzzing but  no response at all from any metal huh?  I must be missing something somehow?

Thanks  a lot for your time reading this and any help is greatly appreciated as I  now feel really lonely  on a limp in a forest(almost like detecting itself Smiley) .

if i do something and sell a pcb i am in here everyday in on-line mode. i give schematics, part list and more.
why you bet on black horse with no reputation and ask forum to help? i do not know who does vandal pulse.
i did  not see its schematics, story, part list etc from noone. NOTHING of useful information from those bulgarian people
whom you so trust.
