Hi Xavier
I don't want to run off topic here but a caution with the TGSL project like many other MD builds its paramount to check all components for specification before installation, there isn't a tolerance for most of the C+Rs they have to be spot on, which is a favorite problem allot of engineers had on that project.
Also double check the pinouts on the 2n2907-2n2222A transistors as there is at least 3 pinout differences depending on manufacture, use plastic encapsulation types not metal with this project because because there prone to stray EMI fields which give intermittent falsing.
Make sure all pots and coil socket are bonded to earth.
These factors are what gives project builders the difference between a fully functional top spec machine to a half baked project that doesnt function properly and some cases where by they turn on with a constant tone or get nothing at all.
If this is your 1st build TGSL its easer to try and get hold of a manufacture coil to isolate your problem because often the fault symptoms can easily be blamed on the coil build when in fact it isn't
The magic to the coil build where allot failed is make sure of the .5MH difference between the TX/RX coils, and to do that you must have a accurate inductance meter otherwise your working blind and wasting your time, working by turns ratio is just a guide and thats all because theres to many varibals involved .
Hope this is some sort of help
All the best
