Most nuggets will fetch much more than the "spot" price and ones with unusal shapes, and those considered museum grade will bring even more. I once sold a couple nuggets to a museum overseas for a bit over $10,000. here is a photo of a few of my found nuggets and "flakes".

Go Up Go Down

I'm new to detecting, got my Gold Bug 2 late last year. On my second set of batteries (50+ hours) and hit my first gold. Went back and found my second gold in the same location. Last picture is of quartz gold I found laying on top of the ground. No digging required.

Neighbor pointed me to the general area but I was up the hill across a road from where he said to go.

Pocket gold area with three or four holes dug. Work the area.
