Makita Hammer drill.

3/4 inch.

Drill a little more the 1/2 way in the rock.

4" apart.

Fill all holes with Quick Create. (use  funnel and st aw)

It will swell up enough to pop the rock.

If that fails, use 1/4 oz of BP and fuse them from end to end.

The sequence on small blast will fracture the beast.

Be sure to pack all bore holes with sand.

Disclaimer:   I do it this way and it works for me.

If you do it and get hurt , you did it!

You would be one Funny Character to go Treasure Hunting with!

I look for shiny quartz, with a yellow to it. I use one rock to break another rock. I would hunt upstream and look for more quartz like the rock. good luck
