I saw that on Drudge and hated the sound of it. There is a swing in Congress away from that sort of thing. A big discovery would make a few thousand jobs and that's important right now.

This especially doesn't bode well if the administration continues to persue end-around moves that completely bypass Congress as it is considering with both the FCC and the EPA.

Quite simply, if you use a detector to prospect you're SOL. In fact if prospect at all your possible areas ot do so will be greatly decreased.

If I could ask Salazar a question or two the first would be "who does the land belong to", if he answered the "goverment" then I would ask who is the government. If his answer would be the "administration" I would have to do a "braaap" wrooonnng turkey butt. The Government is of the people, by the people and for the people. The people did not elect you and thus give their temporary right of power to tell them what they may or may not do on their property. His only power is that given to him by the elected representatives (the congress) by way of the laws they pass and are signed into law by the Prez.

It is time for the congress step on the "cods" of these neo-socialist twerps and remind them they only enforce the laws, they don't make them and that if they overstep that mandate they will be subject to some rather harsh punishment.

"Power to the people as the constitution states."

You apply for one if that option is available but given the attitude of these hollier than thou control freaks I doubt that you would have that option. I'm with Homefire as long as I obey the simple rules of detecting "I don't need no stinking permit" period.
