Good for you, Twig.  Do you ever barter with it?

I KNOW OF AT LEAST ONE PLACE FOR SURE THAT BUYS GOLD. CONTACT TIM AT TNGOLD.COM. HE WAS PAYING 80% OF SPOT PRICE. MOST JEWELRY STORES WILL BUY IT ALSO. DON'T SETTLE FOR SPOT PRICE ON NUGGETS. THEY MAKE JEWELRY FROM THEM AND ARE WORTH CONSIDERABLE MORE. SPOT PRICE WAS $899.00 TODAY BUT IT CHANGES OFTEN. FIND OUT WHAT IT IS JUST BEFORE YOU GO TO A PLACE TO SELL IT. GOOD LUCK.

If you have some really fine gold (flour)- you can put it in small bottles with black sand  and sell it for double spot.

I be interested in any referrals along that line.  Double spot for fine gold and blacks sounds REAL good t'me.  I'm looking forward very much to your reply.

'small bottles with black sand, Steve'

Come to think of it, I have seen little bottles in tourists shops that have little bottles of rolled out gold in them. Bet each bottle only has a few grains in it, but fills the whole bottle. Probably getting spotx2 with those.

I have seen flour gold and black sands in small- tall  glass vials selling at flea markets in known gold areas. The tourists fall for these at just about any price... Of course marketing is involved too with the use of slick advertising.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

As far as that gold leaf in the bottles at tourist shops- they don't hardly weigh anything and look what they get for them. The flour gold and black sands is a much better deal- even if it is double spot or more.

If you save enough of the gold leaf- you would be be able to buy a bottle at no cost at some point in time. It would take quite a bit of gold leaf and a number of bottles to do that though. Smiley

Most of the guys I prospect with keep theirs. Some of them do sell off enough to cover their prospecting costs.
