If you're looking for a good treasure hunting book, I would recommend "Shadow of the Sentinel:  The Search for the Lost Gold of the Confederacy."  It is very well done and a real-life treasure hunt for the mysterious Confederate treasury, which disappeared in 1865.  Could masonic symbols across the South into the Southwest be the key?  This book really is a must-read for those who love treasure hunting and solving age-old mysteries.

Best from VA Beach,
Steve Warren

Bobby Brewer, has many years of research, and first hand field experience in finding  & recovering Confederate caches, and was featured on "Dateline" television.

I read the book and was ready to dismiss his idea that some of the old junk iron deposits being found could very well be a KGC marker referencing a cache in the area, until I map dowsed a location as being a  buried marker, on one of my own suspected KGC sites, and dug up an iron Mule shoe and a piece of an old iron stove buried about 20 inches deep at that location. Now, I'm going to start using a metal detector, and Tim William's data logger to check for shallow buried KGC markers.

I'm still uncertain that it was not just coincidence but thanks to Bobby Brewer's book it made me aware of the possibility.   Dell

Does this book make any reference to a supposedly secret Confederate group called "The Knights of the Golden Circle" ?
