Hey you divers, do you find many old bottles or beer cans when diving?  Some old bottles can be sold for a lot of money and I have read that some beer cans can be valuable too. I wonder what kind of shape the cans would be in though after being in the water for a long time?  Maybe it depends on the water too.  I have been curious about bottles and cans for a long time.
    Thanks!

most of the cans are pretty well beat up but the bottles are there.  You need to do some topside research to find old ferry sites for rivers they have the best yeilds but watch the current.  Lakes that have had vacation homes for a long time are good places also most folks over 100 year ago used them for dumps...Sad...I have a friend who is really into bottles and has over 500 dives in Harveys Lake alone it was a ritzy vacation spot in the late 1800's to early 1900's he has found some awesome bottles there.  I have done a little bit of bottle collecting mostly while doing other dives just searching for spots to use my UW Metal detector.
