most of the cans are pretty well beat up but the bottles are there. You need to do some topside research to find old ferry sites for rivers they have the best yeilds but watch the current. Lakes that have had vacation homes for a long time are good places also most folks over 100 year ago used them for dumps...
...I have a friend who is really into bottles and has over 500 dives in Harveys Lake alone it was a ritzy vacation spot in the late 1800's to early 1900's he has found some awesome bottles there. I have done a little bit of bottle collecting mostly while doing other dives just searching for spots to use my UW Metal detector.
