Hello All
The items of Staffordshire 80th foot regiments is interesting. Are you sure it is a breast plate from 80th (Staffordshire Volunteers) Regiment of Foot?
The Regiment came in to being in 1758 . During this year it was given the name the 80th (Light Armed) Regiment of Foot. The following is a history of the Regiments name changes.
During the year 1764 the Regiment was disbanded , but reformed in 1778 as the 80th (Royal Edinburgh Volunteers), again disbanded in 1790. Once again the Regiment was recalled to duty in 1793, when it was also renamed the 80th (Staffordshire Volunteers) Regiment of Foot, a name it retained until 1881.

They were only in that part of the world between 1872 and 1877 as the 80th (Staffordshire Volunteers) Regiment of Foot.
The British East India Company was founded in 1600 and lasted until 1872. possibly the wreck you have is from a much later date say around 1872. The items datable on the vessel might of earlier vintage of course.
Understanding in what context the items found may help you determine the date of the vessel.
