TH you be careful working that close to the border try to find you a hunting buddy to help watch your back.

impossible to get anybody to let you on the land around here

Thats coming true everywhere, I talked to a rancher last spring that has always let TH on his 4000 acres as long as they closed gates and picked up after their self. But no more after someone left several deep holes 4 or 5 ft one right in the middle of a road. He did give me and my brother a letter that we could hunt arrow heads on his ranch but no digging and no metal detectors.

Doesn't surprise me at all... whatever happened to the days when people were taught to respect others and their property?? I may only be 24, but it sickens me the way my generation treat other people and their beliefs or ways of life... as far as detecting on the border, I don't get to close to it, and the places that I do usually have at minimum 3 to 5 agents patroling so they keep a good watch over me lol. The border patrol agents are actually very friendly and respectful people in comparison to the majority involved within law enforcement or government agencies. Thank you and happy hunting!

If you personally know the border patrol agent that pulls the relics out of the Rio, he might make a decent hunt buddy.  (then again, being that close to an agent--even out of uniform--could be hazardous)

Bad stuff is going along the border!   More people killed then in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Daily!

Yep! You Need a Buddy and be armed.

You can do that here in New Mexico!
