Hi guys and gals,

The Rockport City Beach Park is clean as a whistle.  They must have several local beach combers here.  It was hard to find even a pull tab or a bottle cap.  I had to put the Goldbug up the 4 inch coil is too small.  I did all Thunting with the Bounty Hunter.  It tried to act up in wet sea-sand but I got it to calm down by putting it in discrimination mode set at about 50% discrimination.  I was able to keep the sensitivity up fairly high.  I had a few encounters with old MD'ers who didn't own machines any more...wanted to know if I had any luck.  I did find a few things failry deep like an old bolt, a beer can, and an old time pull tab that I would have thought would been found by now.  I hunted a vollyball court and mainly close around the sun umbrellas.  I got about a dollar in clad and the catch of the day was a sterling pinky ring, thanks to someone named George.  The park is hunted out from what I've been told but its a really nice place, lots of beach and excellent facilities.  We fished alot there too and saw two dolfins every day patroling our waters.

Thanks guys!  My only regret was that George isn't a bigger spender!  Why not put a diamond in that ring for me???  I feel like it was a recent loss and I kinda hoped they might come looking for it while I was there.  That would have been way cool!

Nice update Pat, are you enjoying ya self and is Mrs P having a good time too, I'm pleased for you mate

Au, I've got sand, and surf and bikini clad girls wandering the beach, but you have awesome finds!  I'll gladly trade your finds for my scenery!

I've been told before as well that a place has been hunted out and than I go show um what I found. Good job on George...

I surmised that the coin shooters probably passed on the stuff that I dug but that doesn't really account for everything I dug.  A couple of things just barely sounded in the audible range until i dug a little closer.  That beach was so clean I dug everything that beeped.
