 Hello all.

I finally managed to get out and hunt for a bit. The only problem was the snow. It was up to three feet deep in spots which made for some really tough hiking. I managed to finally make it to the area I wanted to hunt. Well after some very cold weather and my boots finally failing me, I managed to dig this piece up where the snow was only a couple of inches deep.
I was sure craving a hot cup of coffee by the end of this hunt!  Coffee

Coffee good job iron man. Rained all day today, so all the hunting I did was on the couch. Tomorrow I will get to it again.

BitburgAggie,  Oh yeah I did! It was a rough trip but only after my feet got wet! My Danners failed me big time!

Paintersj, It is not as cold here but the area I prefer to hunt is covered in snow! We got more snow in the mountains again last night.

Sweeper, Thanks!!

Mile_k, cleaned it just a bit, but didn't want to damage it to much. I am not sure if it is a Ruby or not. I will have to have someone look at it for me.

Bugar,  ha ha ha I like the snowman Kudos!!!  Thanks!!

Gambol1,  Thanks, I hear ya on the couch hunting Part!! I have been chomping at the bit to get out more. That explains the snow hunting days for sure!

Corvair,  thank you, I agree with you on the possible charm.

Thanks all,      Ironman

Just an idea: Carry a canteen of hot coffee or hot chocolate(My Fav) and have it near you when you hunt...in your car or in the ol' back pack or haversack...just thinking here. Sounds bitter cold up there. GOOD LUCK!
Neat Find there! Looks like a ruby.
