Tesoro Silver Umax, Tesoro Golden UMax

Spent the weekend out in the fresh air with my son, checking out a few parks, doing some coin shooting. This was our first time detecting "in public" and it went well. We just got the garrett pro-pointer and let me tell you, it makes things so much easier and faster, and we never left a hole without finding our target.

He wound up with $12.88 and one canada penny as well. Also a small heart pendant, and a ring. He is excited and is ready to go again, it was a great time.

We are going out this coming weekend, and my new Tesoro Golden UMax will be there by then, so we will both have a detector. We are taking a trip with a local prospecting/MD club up to an old abandoned town where we can detect until our little hearts are content. Could be some interesting finds there, and I am looking forward to using my new Golden for the first time.

We had found little stuff before this past weekend, but once we got that pinpointer, it made things more efficient and target location was dead on.

He is 16, and it's really the first thing he has really gotten excited about that has to do with the outdoors, and believe me I have tried it all. I look forward to spending plenty of time with him out doing an enjoyable hobby like this. He is already mapping the local county parks and showing me where he thinks we would do best....kinda funny.

Nice finds there, look for some old baseball fields and schools pre-1964, then the silver will come out silver from the ground, Good Luck....DW
