Go Up Go Down

Hi All,
Just got back from a family visit to the UK "Essex" just outside London the finds in the pics are from 6 hours of detecting.
I still have access to a farm there "exclusive" which is nice as I do like the solitude and maybe one day I will find some roman coins or at least some hammered, but as of yet no luck.
The buckle is either Geogian or medieval I can see examples on the web where it fits both periods it still has some leather attached. As usual there is more WW2 shrapnel than anything else, this farm is on a direct flight path  to London just 8 miles away so the AA gun crews put up lots of metal which has to come back down somewhere.
While I was away for the year the farmhouse burnt to the ground but the owner was OK to have me around "they lost everything".
I still have problems with my knees so I could only get in six hours pity........HH...johnnn

Unfortunately half the population is board, they get paid to stay at home and do nothing all day so they find fun in destroying the work of other people, probably driven by jealousy, you have to feel sorry for them in some way. Well you would if you knew what I have in mind for the one that I catch.

X-man and others, Good to see you. I've been away for a while and I need to catch up.  X, I agree. I think hackers fall into the same category as graffiti writers. They have a frustrated need for recognition and reinforcement and they get it by doing "in your face" stuff like hacking and spray painting public places. Being displaced workers has a lot to do with it. Anyone who is out of meaningful work and can't keep themselves busy constructively tend to go off the tracks every now and then. Its not a justification just an observation. Gambol Cheesy

Ahh, Johnnn, great to finally see the pictures.  The property looks great. Glad you are enjoying yourself and sorry that your knee is still limiting you.

Hi BN
Its frustrating to have this large farm available and unable to do much digging I am going to the specialist to see about knee replacement soon, I think if he knew the truth he would tell me to "park" the MD for ever but I cant give up the hobby......Johnnn.....Like the 1812 stuff keep it up.
