Thanks for the good wishes!  Mostly over the worst of it now.  Just that the cough wants to hang on forever, apparently.

I did get out yesterday with one of my detectors, My Compass Challenger X-200.  As soon as I got out of the vehicle it started raining lightly.  Then the wind came up and the temperature dropped.  I stuck it out for an hour, anyway.  I found 8 cents US, all modern.  At least I got out for a while!

The farmers here, every year, complain about the snow pack in the mountains - either not enough or to much!  I reality, in this valley, the crops are more dependent on the Spring rains than they are on the local snow pack.  But every year somone is moaning and groaning about it one way or the other!

Take care guys!

Arfieboy, 8 cents is better than no cents  Great at this time, I cannot even go to anywhere good to look  No no! Your detector looks like the "USS Enterprise" I am waiting to see Spock  Funny it looks fun to use... what year is that machine?

We have had a lot of rain, and I am just waiting for the fires to start so that the grass will burn off, then we can detect again  Kiss

The detector is from around 1993 or so.  Lost Treasure magazine had a field report in the May 1994 issue on the Compass Challenger X-200.  I bought it last Spring (2011).  I've only used it a couple of times so far but it is fun to use!  I need to learn it a little better and it shows amazing promise for finding the goodies!

Weather is finally beginning to warm up a little here, off and on!  There a usually a day or two a week I can get out now.  Yippee!  Good luck with your weather and the burning of the fields.

How did you and X do last weekend?  Or was it this weekend?

ArfieBoy, I posted some photo's of our trip the other day (8-9 posts down) all that was found was a rusty coke can and a piece of wire for which we dug forever  Grin Grin Grin we had a great afternoon out..... The grass is about a 3 feet high in places, so is undetectable... But the beer was good  Great The fires will sort out the grass problem though  Funny Not sure where X is? Maybe he is too tired to write as he went looking for the kraal ruins in the wrong direction and walked forever  Funny Funny Funny I sat and waited for him to get back, and then told him that he went in the wrong direction..... for some reason, he seemed @#$% off that he had gone in the wrong direction  Shocked I wonder why Thumbs Down

You bloody fool you are. YOU told me that it was in that direction and when I asked you again are you sure that it's not there you said Nooooo it's that way. Any how had, and in fact still have a stomach bug that had me down for the past few days since Tuesday last. Well that's 7 day's now I did not even do any work on the detector  and for that to happen things must be real bad.  Angry Glade to see that the site is up again I wanted to do a post, can't remember when it was but when I pressed the post button I got this HORRID massage saying server not found.

Yes, Peter, I do remember seeing the posts of your trip now that you reminded me!

Boy, X, that being sent off in the wrong direction would surely make me sick, too!  When you don't want to work on things you care about usually does indicate you're pretty sick.  Gel well, buddy!

I had the same problem with the site myself.  There were a couple of days I thought I might break through, but I never did.  Finally we got reconnected!  Too bad some D-heads out there won't leave us alone and let us enjoy our little pleasures!

Care, m'boys!                     Detecting

I think X was cross for going in the wrong direction because I was sitting on a rock drinking a beer  Kiss it's funny how a person remembers the right direction after a couple of swigs of the good stuff  Great

I also had the stomach bug last week and was booked off work for a couple of days  Exhausted and also found Thunting was also sick  No no! according to the banner, we were hacked or something  Angry I wish people would get a life instead of disrupting everyone else  Amen

How could they? They are the kind of guys that have a few more neurons than what we have and the poor sod is board to hell what he needs is a constructive project but HEY wait minute I just thought of some thing here, they're probably have a social problem too so perhaps we should be nice to them. NOW where in the hell did I place my how to hack PDF and software. Nahh I really don't know what can give a guy the satisfaction of taking away other peoples pleasures kind of reminds me of a bully that we had at school one day he piked on me but I had, had a really bad day well I gave such a hiding that I even gave my self a fright  Grin

It's okay Homie!  We all love each other!  It's those Pin-heads out there that won't allow us our fun!   Apparently these guys with the extra nuerons have them detached and they're floating around in the brain pan causing problems for all the rest of us!                             Detecting
