 Grin Grin Grin Hi guys

I did warn him that I'd shoot him for all the crap that he gives me on the forum and so I did LOL

Homefire it is a pin-pointer that you saw next to the detector, it works of the same board with a switch to toggle between the main coil and the pin-pointer coil works great but I will need to use a longer cable, this ones a bit on the short side.

Occassionally these photos of the detector were taken after we went detecting. It was black from all the burned grass so I cleaned it up (put too much effort in it)

Viking that lead piece look quite interesting are you sure that it's not silver?

Glad that detector was only to play with.    It don't look like it's going to make it.

Homie, I think he built that detector as an ornament to hang on his wall, I wonder if he has fixed my pin-pointer seeing as it is under guarantee  Touch

Now you guys need to calm it down a notch , you know it's going to end in tears....X If I hear that you have thrown paper at someone again , it's going to be the naughty corner for you.
Pgill you need to stop teasing....
Anyway here are some pics of the buckle that was electrolysing last night. It was spotless this morning but I did not seal it and it's rusted a bit again. I'll give it a couple of minutes again tonight and then seal it.
I love the hand made look...anyone know anything about these buckles?

Viking I am glad that you see who the s%$# stirrer is, when it comes down to violence with a deadly weapon, specially in the eye, that is just too much.... It was so bad that I did not SEE it coming  Shocked Homie, please don't give him more weapons as I only have one eye left  No no!

Viking, that is a great buckle as the main pin is pretty much still complete. It is probably from horse tack.... Clean and seal, that is the secret.... Good job buddy  Great You will soon start to see a nice collection instead of a pile of crap  Welcome

Go Up Go Down

I think I might have found another good site,
Found the ruins of an old house, with a massive old bluegum outside and remnants of a garden, Also found about a km of the original road leading from our village in the direction of Table Bay.
I stumbled across an outcrop of grey rock, this caught my attention because the last time I scratched around a rock outcrop like this I found a near perfect VOC Half Doit from 1793.
I did not have the detector with me so I just took some really lousy quality pics. Well what I did find was a hole in the rock and after uncovering it some more I found what you see in the last picture, anybody seen this before....an old furnace maybe?
I'll head back there sometime with the detector and a camera., In the meantime I hope you get some use out of these pics.

sorry the pics are so small ....better than just telling you all about it though.

Usually they can be Seen as a Depression some place around the Back of the Home.

A old CB WIP antenna works good for a Probe to find the soft spots.

Hey Viking, that looks like a great site to me  Great I think you need X there to find the privy, his nose will smell anything  Laughing but without him, look for smallish square depressions in the back garden about 25m away from the back door  Clapp it's a kak job digging them though  Funny Funny Not sure about that rock though,,, many see all sorts in rocks, I just see rocks, well that is at this time through 1 eye  Shocked

Shocked Shocked Shocked I can't believe how green the fields are there by you. MAN just what my cattle need. Viking that site looks great I'm sure that you will have quite a few hours of detecting to do there and numerous finds.

Peter STOP bitching about your eye or I'll smack you on the nose and both eye's will water. By the way Lucky did not bring his finds for me to clean up for him. Too bad I would have liked to take a few photos of them to post here.

Homefire don't you worry that detector will get here it's just a question of time GD once sent me some HDU and it took over six weeks to get to me. I don't suppose that they gave you a tracking number? I don't think that they do that for the international post.
