Ha if I have to listen to you I'll probably end up in hospital. I had a problem today with one of the cows that was calving when the calf's one leg was in a backward position. End result was one dead calf Angry

= 8 months for nothing but the cow is OK

Get well soon Xavier! It is no fun having the flue. Sorry to hear about the loss of the calf. Yes, it is a part of farming and ranching but that doesn't make it any better if you have a care at all about your animals. My wife and I used to breed Basset Hound puppies, just for pets, and I had a hard time with the losses and then selling them after I bonded with them. Had to get out of it!

Hey Peter and X, how's your weather doing? Is it getting any colder yet? What are your winters like there? Seems like one of you said they were fairly mild a while back.

Arfieboy, yes the winter has been pretty mild, although a bit cold in the mornings and evenings.... during the day though it is quite nice Great

we are still very spoilt here in SA Wink
