Yip I know what you mean Jimmy, the one I used to go to was called Sky Wave. I was only like 7 or 8 at the time. I was looking for it on google earth the other night.....thinking that it is probably a great place to go and detect. No luck however.
So Brooklyn is still snowy huh?

YEp the white stuff is everywhere and they say tonight another 3 to 5 inches will fall. Seems to never end. THink I'll put my detectors on Ebay as they sure as hell aren't doing me any good down in my basement. Jim

Hey guys,

I remember in Bulawayo, Rhodesia... now Zimbabwe for Jimmy's sake  Grin Going to the drive-in was a weekly occurrence to watch movies like Grease, E Lolipop, Saturday Night Fever, Jaws, Towering Inferno..... Oh those were the days  Clapp
Now it is cheap rubbish DVD's, that are so non relational  Shocked  Kiss

Anyway, lets get back to real life  Wise Jimmy, I feel sorry for you and that horrible cotton wool you guys have, umm we have the rain, but still better off than you..  Victory

Hi Gautenglion

Actually I'm from Belgium but living in Africa since 1971 I say Africa because I did quite a few African countries I lived in Senegal for 8 years any how my youth was in JHB Alberton. Pgill has a good memory with all them movies LOL I remember using the boot too and we use to place blankets on the ground when it was hot to watch the movie.  One things for sure I don't envy you Jimmy but don't despair the sun will be coming back soon so hold on tho them detectors he he other wise you'll have to get a new one from Viking.

All the best to you
Xavier

HI Pgill...well to date myself onthe drive-ins, movies like Casablanca, Pinocchio, Key Largo, Miracle on 34th st.
these were showing in the 40s as I was a mere pup of 11 in 1949....

I know where Rhodesia was but Bulawayo....

Just finished shovelling, one thing positive out of all this snow is it's a good workout shovelling 5 inches of a corner lot. But I'd rather be detecting somewhere on a warm beach...

Take care and Xavier, the sun can't come out soon enough for this guy.....Jim
