Well, I'm still around...    sometimes!   Xavier, have you heard anything lately from Peter?  Is he doing okay?  It's been about a month since he posted on here.  Hope everything is going well with him and his family.   Later!               Wise

Hi Alfieboy

Peter is doing well, he got a job as a boby. I'm also planning on visiting him in the UK soon. How have you been keeping and what have you been doing?

Good to hear about Peter!  Is he getting any time for detecting now that he is working?  Say 'hello' to him for me and have an extra drink with him from me!

Last month my wife and I took a motorcycle trip with two other couples of about 2,000 miles.  Rode through Glacier National Park in Montana and eventually rode back toward home through Yellowstone National Park!  Saw some gorgeous and beautiful country.  Also quite a lot of wildlife like bison and antelope.  Quite an exhilarating ride!  See if I can attach a couple of pictures here.

Picture 1:  Mt. Sheep on continental divide in Glacier NP in Montana.
Picture 2:  Group picture.  That's me on the far left and my wife next to me.
Picture 3:  Road we drove up heading to Beartooth Pass in Wyoming.
Picture 4 & 5:  American Bison in Yellowstone NP in Wyoming.

Take care!

Thanks for the photos they're great.  I'm looking at buying a bike here in Belgium but I will wait until winter as that is the best time for a good deal. I was also thinking of getting one that I can do a rebuild on as I love to work on bikes and it makes it so much more personal. Petergets to go detecting and has made quite a few finds, he has a farm where he can detect and is also a member of a detecting club so all is good for him at the moment.

All the best
Xavier

Hi Peter!  Good to hear from you!   Great  You're looking good in the picture (well, you know...  considering who we're talking about  Wink).  You sound busy in your job and with your detecting club.  Have you found any good stuff yet, like a gold coin?  Good luck with the job search.

Winter here.  Not getting out at all.  Frozen ground for the last couple of months.  Not conducive to detecting and probing!  Wife and I are gonna take a break beginning Feb. 1...  going to Hawaii (Big Island) for two weeks.  Looking forward to that.  Won't be taking a detector this time.  Been having back problems, but I'll live with it.  I'm just going to relax and take it easy...  drinks all day long on the beach,  that sort of thing!

As you can see, not many have been posting here lately, mostly X and me.  Miss hearing from you, always enjoy your messages.  Take care, tell the wife 'hello' and find great stuff!

Have an extra beer with X for me when he visits you.   Beer Chug

Glad you checked in and found my reply, Peter.  That is a lot of work time.  Kind of glad I'm not looking for work now.  I retired 8+ years ago.  The only problem with that is the dollars don't stretch quite as far as they did when I first retired...  but that's okay...  it still works for me!

Congratulations on the good finds.  And on the new detector.  That's always the problem with a different detector,  you have to get used to it and the way it talks to you.  Good luck with it and may you find many gold coins!

Have you and Ridge Runner been able to get together yet?  I sure understand you missing X, but he's a lot closer than he was.  You guys were very close and kept this thread going.  I guess you need to just check in here every so often since it won't notify you of posts.  I miss your conversations a lot, too!

Take care, take some pictures and show us some of your finds when you get sometime.  I'm sure we would all like to see them!    Great

Hi Guys

I don't know what's going on with Peters notifications I actually turned min off, just too many of them. I'm hoping to go and see the old goat soon but I'm worried that he will take me along to do the beat. I bet that he walks round all day looking for coins (treasure hunting with his eyes) probably bought the MXT form coins he found LOL and if you did them well done to you mate. I'm working on my new detector project but things are slow as money is tight at the moment but things should be better soon (well I hope).
