Have you tried the Steak Test?

You can knock a window on it with a bit of 1500 grit Emery Cloth glued to a flat board and some time.

Thanks Bigtwin well here ya go now these are slightly magnetic but only in places and ring off as the coil goes past
the rocks and give a ground balance reading of 76, also they are very heavy, at leased 2 !/2 X their weight compared
to a normal rock, and i've seen pieces of these in the same area weighing over 45LBS  and as big as a basket ball.

Well the one in the pictures weighs 515g and is like a tennis ball cut in half but it is triangular in shape, 2" at the base and 2 1/2" long
the one that looks like yours weighs 240g thats the gold looking one, when you see the other end of it it then looks the same as yours
