It's highly unlikely that any outlaw biker gang would be giving out rings marking
the years of service, or having initials engraved in them. As a Freemason & a
Knight Templar, I have seen many 25 & 50 year pins & awards given out. And
I've never seen anyone have a member number, nor are there any member numbers
on the dues cards we receive every year. The Square & Compass is the usual Masonic
symbol but there are many others for rings & lapel pins. I've never seen the pentagram
used as a Templar symbol, the usual insgnia for the Templars is the Cross & the Crown
with the Latin motto, 'In Hoc Signo Vinces,' or the symbol of two Knights riding on one
horse. The number you mentioned may be the Lodge number. These rings are usually
bought by the member or his family. And the TS, may be the initials of the Commandery
he belonged to. I'm sticking to the Templar ring theory.

If the Templar did put out a ring with a skull on it what was their meaning for the skull?

The symbol was once used by the Templars. As I said it was once worn on a black or dark blue triangular apron. Other companies make the officer jewels or insignias, pins & rings for all fraternal organizations from the Elks to the Masons, Knights of Columbus & others. As far as I know none of the fraternities actually produce these insignias. As far as the meaning of the skull or any other symbols, sorry, it's one of those, 'you have to join to find out.' And please believe me, most of the sites you come across on the internet are only half right at best on the info they claim to know on any fraternity. In fact some of their so-called facts are downright
laughable.

Does anybody happen to have any information on this skull ring? I bought it about 8 years ago on eBay USA. Its origin remains a mystery to me ever since.

Regards,

Christian

Christian;
When I was a kid and a comic fanatic, a ring like that was advertised on the comic backs, it had ruby eyes. I would also say it did not look that professionally made, but who can say, now.

IMO, if it were a SS ring, would it not have SS on it & not TS. Many times on those rings they
also displayed the swastika. And for the rings found on the comic books, again, why would they
have the '25' or the initials on them ? Although , you have to be a Freemason to be a Shriner or
a Templar, I'm fairly sure it is not regular Masonic ring. I'm staying with Knight's Templar or maybe
a Shriner's 25 year service ring. The 'S' may stand for Shrine, as in meeting place for the Scottish Rite.

Well Christian. Definitely not Hells Angels. Theres is the 'Death Head' logo. Probably not biker related since the Outlaws MC has a skull (nicknamed Charlie) with crossed Pistons, not bones and wouldn't take it kindly for another club to get that close to their logo...Best guess would be a custom made likeness of the Jolly Roger. Is it silver and onyx?
