That is an awesome looking detector. It looks like its very well made. I've heard they are great working in iron infested areas. This is a fantastic prize. I haven't seen any of those in the U.S.A. Of course if you want to ship it to me I'll check it out real good.  Just kidding but thanks for the awesome contest.

I was the lucky winner of the Thunting Goldmaxx giveaway. Looking forward to giving it a try here in the gold country. There are nuggets around that can be found with a detector, but the ground is highly mineralized and some areas heavy with black sands. The Goldmaxx Power should do well here. Another spot that I will check out is where a local detector club buried silver coins and other treasure. The spot is loaded with old buried cans and lids. Not many have been found so far. With the Goldmaxx's ability to sound on a good target when in close proximity to iron, maybe I can pull a few out. Smiley

A pic when you get the detector would be neat.

I would be interested in a side by side test with  other detectors of a similar type with an appropriate written review. At one time- I always thought detectors made in the US were pretty the only detectors made. It would be interesting to see how XP Goldmaxxx stacks up against other detectors.

Thanks for the congrats; Yes I'll try to show the life history of this detector as it is being made. I am not a detection expert, so will be just my experience using it. Some history, my first was a BFO that I used in California, found a lot of pull-tabs. Next was a Whites Surf Master pulse that I used in Florida on the beach mostly, lots of coins, rings etc. Also used it in North Georgia and found a lot of whatever beeped. Next was a Garrett Gold Stinger used in N.GA, lots of coins, a few rings, other stuff that beeped. This was a pretty good multipurpose machine, would buy again. Now have a Garrett Infinium pulse. The Goldmaster is probably more suited to the type of ground I can detect on here, trash from valley to hill top and mostly tiny gold. Iron soil with random hot rocks, highly mineralized.

Hi Oro,

Figured I'd give this thread a bump and see if you've received that Gold Max and how it's working in your area.

Mike

Hi Mike, No I have not received the Goldmaxx yet. I have been driving my wife nuts checking the mail drop in town for me. I will make a post and follow-ups on its use after it comes. Smiley
