That is not a Swastika, It is called the wheel of life by the Native Americans and many other countries too.
If you look the Swastika is the opposit way round, and it also dates pre-Roman times and is also a Hindu
symbol,

Actually that ONLY applies to the swastika as used by the Nazi party. the swastika is an ancient symbol used for a variety purposes (usually as sun symbol or a good luck symbol) by cultures throughout history and around the world. In it's various manifestations, it can face either direction and be at any angle (usually 90 degrees). As a matter of fact many Native American tribes formally banned the swastika during WWII because of the Nazi's despite its having been frequently used by them for generations prior to the rise of the Germans.

kUDOS Bitburg, very true. One good thing about this hobby is a lot of people get history lessons that should have been taught in school. Some was but not now. My Nephew didnt even study WW I, just when the dates were. Welcome to our future.

nice medallion, hope you find more good stuff. And yes unfotunately Hitlers use of that symbol has given it a bad rap forever now. It has a long history behind it by many people.

Hey did you know that if you sit in a bathtub full of water and throw in a plugged in toaster....the electrical charge produced will lead you on the path to enlightenment and lost treasure? Funny

Thanks BA for the history we need to learn these facts of our People because when its gone
it will be lost for ever and I think that most of these folks lived like we'd like to,
and I wish the red tape could be set aside so we could share such knowledge, the world
would be a brighter place
