Sa lahat ng Phil. TH,

May suggestion po ako kung inyong pauunlakan.

     Metal detector : Sonda MD-5008
     Owner Place : Cavite
Result : Approx. 60% reliable ( because hindi ko pa rin nakukuha ang tamang timpla ng adjustment )

Maganda yang mga suggestions mo kaibigan, sana ngay mapag usapan dito kung ano talaga ang dapat na gamit para sa particuar area or geographical site, reliable type of detecting equipment for certain type of terrain, soil or boulders, the penetrating sonar capabilities that can measure depths of anomalies underground and capable to read specific identifiers of elements to make sure you are on the right spot.
Honestly wala akong alam sa mga metal detector equipment but I think my presumption of a good and reliable detection machine should carry these features.
If you think you cannot give away your site in public just describe the physical composition of your site or the terrain if it is flat, mountainous, hilly, wet land or forested etc.
Salamat Vourvon sana everyone who owns a metal detector will share their experience so that every TH will learn from it.

Mas_Kara,

I'm going to check din ang other detector, I consider to buy Nokta Golden King, but according to Christian hindi maganda yon, much better daw mag-assemble na lang ako and capable din akong mag-assemble kasi electronic technology ang course ko at marami na rin akong compilation ng schematic diagram ng sari-saring detector kaso most of them ay pang low depth lang pag maganda ang result ng Nokta I get the idea and built it simple para ang other Pinoy can make it para may magamit ang most sa ating mga project.

Yama burried treasure is very different than to all buried treasure all over the world that's why hindi makapanilwala ang mga banyaga na ang alam lang ay shallow graves, just on the ground objects like coins, madallions and stuff that is not considered as treasure hunting in the first place. yes they are treasure of course when it is in big amount. but picking up coins, and medallions without a sweat just by sweeping a detector is not treasure hunting. It is coin picking. while If you call it treasure hunting kailangan they are in a certain diffi and out of the ordinary hiding places like caves, deepweels, underground tunnelling, deep sea, jungles, mountains etc. and the most unbelievable thing that mga dayuhan don't understand in Yama Treasure is, it is very intricate and elaborately buried very deep with booby traps, gas, water, sands and wall barriers etc. and most of all, there are recorded maps, drawings, markers that have to be deciphered, live pointers and heroic stories, the interesting about it is the amount of Gold bars, golden Buddhas, diamond, gem stones that make everything thrilling and every Treasure hunters dream. The dangers of adventure, the excitement of digging and the sacrifices and reward that keep small and big time TH a chance to prosper.
God blessed the Philippines that he gathered most of the wealth you could imagine on earth and dump it all over our island.

Vourvon is the expert in Metal Detectors, but which detector will you use in certain specific areas is the right question. Some detectors are scientifically base they have mathematical method that you have to program or follow to target what kind of elements you are looking for. This detectors have this kind of features so that you will not pick up all kind of metals and elements that will give you false reading and false positive. You should know to isolate and what kind of elements you are you detecting. Remember you are not picking coins or medallions which most detectors are designed for with limited capabilities.

Some people posting just do not address who they are answering because they give a general answer to specific questions that they think everybody will learn or benefit from it. Just look for the subject you are interested and if you cannot find the answer. PM the person you think that is knowledgeable. Not everybody wanted to spoon feed all the time so a personal message may do the trick.

if you plan to buy a detector, take a review of the OKM grailfinder. it penetrates up to a depth of 40m according to its manufacturer. suitable for deeply burried objects in caves/tunnels just like how the yamatreasures were burried. the cheap detectors are only for detecting shallow objects like coins or jewelries burried up to knee deep.

hi elizabeth... garrett gti 1500 is not suitable for yam treasures. it's only suitable for lost coins, jewelries and objects burried just below the surface. look at a demo of that detector on this site:

if you plan to detect WW2 burried treasures, this would not work. you may need at least a combination of differrent gadgets. a locator, a resistivity meter and a scanner...of course, history and markers will help a lot to streamdown the search. just my opinion. gbu!

One thing more having a detector is another thing and having some one to operate is the crux of the matter. I have a friend here in the States he bought a very expensive detector took it to Philippines everybody was happy. When the time comes to put it to use none of them do not know how to operate it. Assembling it alone took them hard time figuring it out. For short they ended up using dowsing instead.
before you decide make sure somebody is capable to operate it. Most TH haven't seen a gadget before not even operate one.
