Hardluck you continue to amaze me with your wide knowledge of the philis. It really is a fantastically beautiful country, the people there are very warm and friendly too. I had a good friend in Oz who sought refuge there after the collapse of Marcos he was in his Secret Police so no names mentioned.  Some of the stories he used to tell me sometimes in jest were amazing of what went on behind the scenes, some that would make the hair curl up on the back of your neck.
It is a very dangerous place in which to do any sort of treasure hunting unless you go well prepared and well armed. Even detecting in water over there could be a very risky business as the rule of the gun applies plus the Government would also be interested in what ever you were lucky enough to find.  But it is a detectorists paradise if you can work secretly without anyone knowing what your doing. Shocked

But an highly organized golden lily operation is pure fantasy created by Marcos and his cronies.

Just a rational observation here....but, the Golden Lily was a fictional organization created in the treasure hunting novel Gold Warriors. Can't blame that one on ole Marcos    Wink

Hello rational observer

Yes please forgive me! I was generalizing, you are correct that the term Golden Lily was term coined by Segraves for the alleged "systematic organized military operation" looting of Asia in WW2 by Japan.

Weather you like to call it yamashita or golden Lily it is not all the same.? A legend created by two masters of game to serve their own ends?

One a wrote a book the other stole the Philippine national treasury.

Are you sure it's a green diamond? There are lots of gems identical to a green diamond, such as emerald, peridot, and tsavorite.

Did you check if it has scratches? If it has, it's definitely not a diamond.
