I know a guy who punched through a gas line while probing for a privy...needless to say, an anonymous phone call to "report a hissing sound" was made. Niffler

What's treasure hunting like in Romania? Sure sounds like an interesting place to hunt.

I just begin with this, but I think is productive, because there are few people interested in such thing.

Scenario: You're detecting and not paying attention...a fellow is coming down the old road that your detecting on. You walk out from behind a bush as he guns the throttle of his four-wheeler. BAM!
Scenario 2: You're detecting along and not paying attention as the big bull lowers his head and charges-BAM!
Scenario 3: You are detecting alone and fall down a deep dark well--Yikes!
Scenario 4: you are detecting along and feel a terrible stinging sensation on your leg or calf. You look down and see a six foot timber rattler with its head reared back and ready to strike again.
Scenario 5: You are detecting along the edge of a gully and then the side of the gully starts caving in and you fall sixteen feet to the bottom with part of the shaft of your detector broke off and rammed through your side.    Note: Anything can happen. But that's life and we have no guarantees...you just have to be careful and try to be aware of your surroundings. I've been too close for comfort to poisonous snakes and angry dogs, etc. But I keep detecting and hope for the best.
Funny seldon---Yes dear, this here big diamond ring is yours. I wouldn't have dreamed of selling it and buying me a new detector--RIGHT!!!
A .22 ain't going to do anything but piss that bear or lion mountain lion off and then they'll really get you!
A .22 will just piss off a bear or mountain lion and then they'll really come and tear you up!!!
