homefire, now that's a close call! I lived in Whiskey Falls Texas for 10 years, 1/3 of the housing units in that town were wiped out in 80. I went out in June to interview for the job and everything was peachy, when I actually got there in September It looked like a battle zone. Every spring we would spend at least one night in the closet.

Yea, that was back in Bellvieiw IL.

I was there or three years and it was the only one there.

We had a few here in Deming NM but they spend there time out in the sand to the most parts.

One Killed the Local Swimming pool and some stuff.

back in 04 we had one suck the roof and the screen door off the house but that was about all it did , it passed right over us and we were thankfull it did not touch ground,
back in 83 wife and I were in Cracker barrel and they pushed everyone into the freezer and the tornado sucked away the store section of the restaurant, it was loud and powerfull and scary.

That has got to be a real "Bummer" Karl.  Fortunately for me the mountainous area I live in tends to defeat the formation on tornadoes.  There have been a couple of small ones reported and photographed over the years, but not a big worry.

I was in Nevada over the weekend without a detector and coolish weather.  Heard it was in the 60'sF at home.  When I got home Sunday evening it was rainy and snowy.  Rainy and windy all day Monday... I no go out!  This morning it looked nice out but cool.  About 7:15am it began to snow.  Within less than an hour we had about an inch of the white flakes and a hard wind blowing.  Then it continued spitting off and on.  I had to go to a lunch and meeting later so I didn't get out.  Never did get over 40F.  No hunting today...  !                     Detecting

My neighbors have all been mowing their yards  Undecided  guess that means I will be soon also.
