I like to detect at night but the problem is the Rattle Snakes get upset when you step on them.

The nitetime rattlesnakes around here don't bite but they will shoot you full of holes. Shocked

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Snakes are still a real concern here especially rattlers and copper heads.

And truthfully i would never knowingly hunt the national park.

That's why i carry a throw gun. Never know when your gonna have to shoot someone and then make it look like self defense.

Same Shit Different Day Here.   Nothing Exiting happening.  Still trying to figure out the Mouse Chews on the Coil wire.  Wish it had some other type of Connector other then the DIN.  I would just undo the Connector and hit it with some Heat Shrink and be done with it.  May just replace the whole Wire with 12 inches of the original wire going into Coil.  The 101 has set Ground Balance and looking into what Trim Pot controls that.   If I find it , I can extend it to the out side world.  Our Ground is Messed up.   At 6.8Khz it's never going to be a Gold Machine but I can make it better then it was for Ghost Town Coins.  You sure did me good with this one.   Planned on using the Pot to fix the LS Camo but not the same one. The Staff for my Surf PI Project.   101 has 10K and the Camo 100K.   I'll just  Fix this one up and  keep waiting and looking.   Yes I can by one but that's not my way.  Anything I find would be on line.  We have NOTHING here in town that sells parts any more.  Even the Radio Shack has dumped all Parts and only sells Chines Chit Toys and Audio Stuff.  BD gave me that detector with a Defective ON Off Switch Pot combo. I buy passed the Switch with a Toggle and it worked Great for a While.  The Pot it's Self too the Poop.  I have  100K pots that would do the job. I have the Switch. I could just go the hard way and make it work but I really would like it to be more like it was.    I always thought Bounty Hunters were the Low of Low detectors.  That LS Camo found the 14k Gold Backing of a Ear Ring 7" down in Tot lot sand.  Emmmmmmm     I still have the Garrett S3 15Khz Good for less then 1/4 gram 7 inches.  The Old Brick Garrett Deep Seeker about the same but need a Coil for it.

You will make it work.  I found all kinds,of stuff with that old detector. 2 include a 38 pistol and a old cap gun.
Coins watches etc. It worked good till i broke it. Then it sat on the shelf for a few years.

It's workable now I think.   Not stuck any batteries in it.   Battery Box Cover is being shipped Monday.  Were without a Car now.   The Neon jumped the Timing Belt it seems.
