Texasred  Yes I change oil every 7500 mi. as I use synthetic oil and I noticed some Fords says every 4500 etc  I worked in a diesel shop for 28yrs and we had some propane rigs but as u said the gas mileage suffered,I'm a firm believer of diesel as u can burn other fuels with diesel as like any kind of oil soybean-peanut oil etc. and the mileage is great. My old Mercedes 1984 I believe it was got 52-55 on the highway and was a large car. There touting 40 mpg for the VW jetta etc heck that isn't any good mileage. But they have destroyed or changed the make up of diesel and gas the last few years anyway.  shortribs.

Nothing beats a diesel engine, don't like to work on them because of the smell but I have a great respect for them, I had an old  Volvo tractor that use to make all the new models look stupid when it came to getting the job done.

The new TDI(top-direct-injection)  injection engines are a new breed but the diesel compounds in diesel messed the mileage up. the engines in europe (Germany) get up to 90 miles a gallon and 90% of the motors in Europe are diesel anyway. Even Ford use to ship their small Ford Ranger trucks to Europe without engines and the Europeans would put their diesels in them. Here in America they are too money hungry to allow that to happen here. With the vapor system like on youtube u can get from 65-200+ mpg out of gas vapor, been running my system since 1997 but mine is small and only get 10-15 more mpg but that satisfies me at the moment because I don't have to mess with any hoses or valvet to the carb etc mine is set it and forget it.  shortribs.

Well here we have a GAS car.  Not trying to replace the Gas tank .  I hate Computer controlled fuel Systems.  Yea the computer  tells the Injectors how much to put out.  But the oxygen  sensors tell the computer how much has been Burned.  The Mass Air Flow tells the Computer how much air is being taken in.   If you just supply the input with a 50% Vapor the Computer should be able to correct the Gas Fuel / Air Issues.   You should see a Substantial  Improvement   in MPG!

The emissions are great better than reg. gas  . Yes these computer controlled cars are worst things to work on. wait till 2 yr from now we will have it like the Europeans are trying to do and get hit with a high voltage Q beam from a police car to shut u down and ruin your 2000$ computer in your vehicle. And of car manufactors I understand Volkswagon sold out to the Chinese Huh???   shortribs.

I meant  when you go for the emissions testing and they plug into your vehicle.
How is this vapor run stuff affect your reading and ability to pass.

does it all have to be removed before testing Huh?

No Karl as I understand it the emissions are more clean(cleaner) than regular gas systems. I've been tested by a highway patrol at a checkpoint some time back and it passed . all I have read in last 10 yrs is it's a cleaner exhaust than reg. driving. The only concern now would be a brand new vehicle and the check engine light might come on but I've made 3 of these for friends and they had no problems with sensors. But as said my unit is a smaller one than a quart jar, mine is just a brass 3/4in  t block from tappet cover thru the brass t to the air box or intake,   and at bottom of t is the gas that's regulated with a needle valve, It just has to get car temp up to normal to vaporize gas.    tappet cover is 240* when hot,  - gas vaporizes at 105* so its hot enough- if u use a quart jar u need air from exhaust manifold or radiator hose to get it hot enough or as x stated an adomizer (electronic) but in winter that's not good enough,it needs a little heat to work well. As said mine is small only 10-15 more mpg and a quart would put u up their to 60-200 mpg but u have to put a butterfly or such to regulate the sir flow on a quart or gallon jar and a float system for the jar to stay 1/2 full all the time or get out every 100 miles and fill jar.  shortribs.  gas came down today to 2.87$ here in sw Missouri cant believe that.
