The simple answer is that dowsing doesn't work.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Romeo, try to get someone with experiance to teach you. Also i think your hands arn't supposed to control the rods, thats how it works. Let the rods guide you to your treasure Wink

If the tips swing too much, try aiming the rods down a little.

I suppose I do things a bit differently than others, but I try to use the rods (I only use one rod) like a search light. As I search, I watch for the rod to stop or even bounce back. Remember dowsing is about being aware of the subtle energies. You have to be smooth with the rods and go very slowly. And it's about "feeling" these energies. People say it comes from the endocrine system, but whatever it is, many dowsers experience a feeling like a weak electrical current is running through them when they are near the target.

What works for me with my rods is the outer case of a pen as a handel, just take a pen apart and slide the pen into the rod, it will give it more freedom to move, remember that the wind will blow your dower around so best to do dowsing with no wind.
good luck
Walt

No not as yet but I am working on a cache, I hear that if the rods are to long they my not work or swing  to much and you can ask the rods if you need to cut some off if so start of asking if i should cut 1" off 2" off etc untill you get a yes. I took the handels off of my rods way to much freedom to move but works great inside

dowsing device really works...
the first time i used it, i was amazed...
even if there's a wind but still it directs me to what i'm looking for...
free your mind, concentrate, think what you're searching for... of course you need to put a metal at the tip of the wire of the antenna... (if you lost your KEY/KEYS then put a key at the tip of the wires, if you are looking for Gold, put a gold nugget or gold ring or gold necklace will do, Even if you hide a potato in the kitchen, just put a small potato at the tip then the rod will guide you to where the potato is. Grin)

but others don't know how to use it...
all you need is to practice to make success...

~Romeo Mejia ~
I used a dowsing Rod. My hands cant control the rod. Why

The first step is to simply take the receiving rods in your hands. Feel them: look at them: and get used to them. Outside is best for practice but inside will work. Hold the receiving rods in front of you-chest high-about 18" apart at the same height, parallel to each other and to the ground. It is best if one of the rods is one inch above the other so they won't touch each other when they cross.
The most important thing for you to do is practice a lot. Expect the rods to feel clumsy at first; awkward. The wind may blow them around somewhat. Sometimes they will swing outward too far, but don't get discouraged because we all have gone through this experience. If the rods aren't level at all times or they move a bit, don't worry. It is not that critical. After you have some practice and start working with the system, you will be able to take a set of rods in your hands and make them work properly for you in the wind, dodging trees, rocks, or any obstacles you may encounter.
