Update:  I found some very small gold in one of my pile samples.  About three salt grains worth.  I'll go back to that pile and if I get the same or better results, I'm going to concentrate my efforts in that area.

Here it is wednesday already and I haven't been back to the dredge piles yet.  I'm plagued with honey-do's.  I did manage to slip over to a spot I've been eye-balling that  has an old riverbed embedded high in the cliff.  I took 4 gallons of that to the creek and got more like 7-8 specks and one very small flake out of it.  I can't reach the riverbed itself, I can only get up so high and shovel what has eroded away and come down.
