Spainard, I removed the lock you put on this topic.....It does no good to ask a question and then lock the topic because you keep everyone but yourself and the moderators (whom you probably don't want to hear from) from responding to your post.   So assuming that you really do want some to help you pick out other symbols besides the cross, I suggest you keep the post unlocked.

Hello Spainard

Lots of things on that rock, hard to make out what they are though. Bottom left could be a horse.
  Cool

You got a skull and crossbones, a horse head, cross(dont know type), and a lizard playing a flute as I cant spell kopople.

Without a better idea of the area, I cant help you much more than to say you have found a good marker that tells a story. The size of the marks also tell a story. The stone is very weathered, the moss indicated high altitude, the sun was too still too high in the sky to bring out more information.

The horse head appears to be a face also. Good artwork. Do you know who made it? It also two tier. Monument stone my guess. The cross is of a certain type and will tell y0ou bunches of info, try to id it.

Hello Spaniard. I have drawn some lines on your picture based on my Beale research. Look for the "straight line" no matter how small and look for right angles. I was able to draw a line from straight line at bottom left at small end of dark crack. I found others to the right in the dark crack and was able to find right angles. And the crack on the left side about 2/3s of the way up gives a straight line to form a right triangle with perpendicular lines from the dark crack at bottom. I see many numbers which may be survey sights. When you draw a line through the dark crack at bottom, I think you may have an outline of the mountain terrain where something may be buried, or at least additional survey information. The "cross" appears to have a perpendicular list of numbers and a horizontal word or numbers. I have seen similar markings on rocks that I have seen in my Beale research. I will attempt to attach my picture markings. If you have questions, please contact me at larry@larbren.com. Larry

The legendary Beale treasure said to be worth $$$$$$$$$$. most if not all historians and hard core treasure hunters /researches have dismissed it as a hoax long ago. Just like trying to tie it into Spanish treasure is pure nonsense.
elmo at the top of page is a link that say information we have a very good article about it there under legendary treasure.
