AND Being so!
There were standardized trail markers, signs and maps!
These Maps were all checked for accuracy by having a Representative of the King..
Take a copy of a map and follow it !
The Map would! lead to a mine
Or !
It would lead the King's Official to another set of instructions/trail markers/map that would lead to the mine!
If they did Not!
Someone would lose his head!   Shocked
Because the mine belonged to the King and If his Representative could not find the King's Mine, as the law required ..
The infraction could be VERY Severe AND usually was!
AND!
Remember!
 The KING even OWNED the People ...They were known as "His Subjects" !
You couldn't just hop on a boat and sail over here, YOU HAD TO have his permission!   Angry
YOU Had to Have His Permission to look for, & to mine any
of HIS! Minerials
That's why you will FIND & there are maps carved into rocks, and trail markers etc !  all over the WEST!
If you were out here, you'd see that it is not uncommon to find maps on the rocks, when you searching out in the field!
ASk any other THer(s) on the "Forum" if this is not TRUE!
But!
Being an educated man, (Dr.) I assume, you already know this ?

Have I, "Again", Assumed wrong  Undecided?
