It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

This is a treasure turtle with "no legs" carved on a rock notice the long neck and even a tail pointing "straightback" the turtle has no legs meaning at the treasure site and in this case the head or nose of this turtle points to the "Spainish" treasure that is Cached.

No such thing. If that were true, you'd have it by now. All you have is a picture of a rock.

Nobody ever buried treasure and left signs visible for the world to see. That would be insane.

Golddigger, some people are always looking for signs and chasing rumors of signs....and the more likely a sign is to be a natural occurrence the more likely it is to be genuine (after all, the idea is that only those who have been taught should be able to recognize it).
Unfortunately, you're not Canute---so don't expect them to stop believing in signs just because they don't find any treasure (someone must have beat them to it or they missed a clue somewhere).

Haven I like her. Check where she might have come from also. No legs is suppose to be good. Like the cache is close by.
Any way that is what I have learned. Look for some conformation or other signs. Tommy

Haven That looks good. Did you follow other sign to it? As it could be natural you need to find the sign leading to it for confirmation. Jim

Hi

Honestly something doesn't seem right about it!

I haven't seen one ever carved into stone, they have always made them from stone.

Also it looks in to much good condition for a 2-300 year old carving.

regards

Yes they did not only did they stack rocks  the cut all kinds of marking on tree rocks  and around caves my be this will make a believe  try reading  whats on this web page go to  treasurehuntersuniversity.com happy reading. the rock in the photo may or may not be a lead to the treasure but the only way you can tell is to go and look for more marking with will confirm start walking were the head is pinting

If it were a natural stone that looked like a turtle it wouldn't have such a GOOD eye.  The eye really tells us this isn't natural.  It has been my  experience that a quirk of the master monument builder was to use his EYE when making a treasure sign.  You begin to get a feel for the artistic impression of the old Spaniard when out in the field following the trail.  Like every painter has his own way of expression.  When the trail gets confusing by other THing signs in your area of the trail...look for these subtle artistic quirks.
