Theres another good idea cuttin the shovel down... my spade is just a few inches too long.

I went out to my truch and grabbed my spade and folding shovel.... the folding metal shovel is several lbs. heavier when I put them on the shipping scales here at work. I've already stripped the handle off the spade and cut it down where I like it. When I get home I'm gonna put it to the belt sander and shape the tenon back out and re attach the handle.

While I was a lunch I hit the Army/Navy and got one of the folding shovel pouches which I am going to modify into a belt holster and position it to my back. At least thats the plan.

Good Suggestions and ideas, guys! Thanks. I'll put up some pics when I get the winning solution found and created.
