My wife and I sold at a flea market and had great prices too, but just like you said they don't want to pay anything. It's a Wal-mart attitude, they don't understand what value is. They just want it cheap and can't connect the dots when it breaks it 3 months they have to go buy another one and if they had they a little more it would last fot years not months! Ok I'm off my soap box now   Funny

I know when gold went up all the claims beside the roads were full, but I've noticed thats trickling off. At the rock show 2 weeks ago and the outdoor sports show last weekend only had 1 vendor with mining gear.

No snow today here, but the wind was icy! Even the lure of treasure wouldn't drag me outside this morning Smiley

It's trickling off because people are starting to realize there's a lot of time and hardwork involved.

yes sir, alot of people come home after a day of panning, not finding any thing at all (cause they don't know where to begin to look first off) maybe a sore muscle in the back and say to heck with that it wasn't really that fun... that was work

I bet that show Meteorite Men has had a major impact on people getting into the hobby, they see these two guys out having a good time with there metal detectors and they allways find something.

ya alot of those show's make it look so easy ,,, step 1 get detector out of car,,step 2 walk 50 feet into field,, step 3 find meteor step 4 cash in 10 thousand dollars, step 5 cuss and throw %^((*&%$$ , machine in closet, slam the door cause you didn't find anything first time out
how many people do you know with a detector in the closet
I located my uncles old white it doesn't work

Those shows tend to edit out the 3 or 4 days of tape where they find nothing  Cheesy
