Goldenfalcon,  The GMT is a gold only machine with no discrimination although it has an Iron probility meter which tells you how much iron maybe in the target and in junk filled sites it will drive you nuts.

The goldmaxx power is not a good beach machine as i have read about some one was sold one who was a beach detecterist and they
said it was next to useless on the wet sand ,if you want an ansewer tell us the exact type of area you want to use the detector in
and we can help you a whole lot more

good luck we'll talk soon

May I ask what it is that leads you to believe the GMT is a "gold only" machine? As far as I know, this is against the laws of physics. As much as I'd like to break them, the laws of physics are fairly rigid.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I am refering to the fact that it has no discrimination and it will pick up every piece of metal in the ground and a person
buying this as a general use machine will regret it, my message to everyone is I am sorry that i did not mention this before
and that there is no such thing as a gold only machine, and the detectors refered to as gold machines will find every tiny piece
of ferros and non ferros metalic material that resides below and within the coils reach
