Final feedback on the Juice NiMH batteries - not worth the money and because they say you need to use their special charger.
Next test - Panasonic eneloop batteries - have heard and read good things about them, but it is time to put them to the test.
More details in a week or so, depending upon the weather.
Happy Hunting!  Robroy59

I'm sure GD will have input on this one but there special charger probralby is nothing more then a current limiting voltage controlled charger.

Juice Batteries are alkaline and only recharge to about 80% of their "new" voltage level at best. Not worth the money at all. As has been mentioned, the Eneloop batteries are the best technology out there at the moment. They keep their charge over time dropping to 80% of full charge over a year when not loaded. I ordered a full case of AA and AAA Eneloops and use them for absolutely everything. Great stuff. And a regular NiMh charger will do the job charging them.

Excellent feedback GoldDigger1950, I expect my eneloops to arrive today.
If all goes well, my large collection of NiMH may go towards some special projects, like a sidewalk illumination task that reappears every two years on my honeydo list because the solar powered junk made in China lasts one/two years at best.  Now if only I could figure out a wireless charging method for areas that do not get any sun, hmmmmmm....    HH Robroy59

Nicolai Tesla had some ideas on that subject in sending useful energy levels of electricity through the air. He predicted we'd be doing that long before now.

I second the Enelope recommendation, that's all I use in Cameras and other things I need to not discharge without use. I was using NIMH but every time I picked up the camera they were about dead. With Enelope I have picked the camera up after 6 months and now in 8 months and its still going. You can also find them in Walmart and other stores under the name of Pre-Charged NIMH. They cost more but boy are they worth it. They really hold a charge and a standard NIMH/Nicad charger will charge them. Either slow charge or fast charge.
