The TX coil would also have to reside inside of the RX coil and be smaller.

Yes you are so right. In other words the PI would only be as good as a good VLF machine and the only advantage that I can see with this is to use it in water.

Peter, there are two detectors under discussion here. One is a real world machine and the other is theoretical due to the direction of the discussion.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

GD, I am also believing that thy are talking rubbish the more I read it.... the depths they are talking about are just too good to be true for a normal detector, although those depths would be great  Funny

Lets face it the idea is not bad at all but it's a bit like having a fork on the one end and a knife on the other, and I can see quite a few disadvantages with that LOL

Yeah, the more logical solution would be a knife on end and a spoon on the other.    (I'd have said a fork on one end and a spoon on the other, but whoever invented the spork beat that one)

Grin Why to cut the soup? Any way I think that we should send them an email requesting to have one of these machines for testing purposes. As it will need to be tested on different soil types and temperatures we could send it to one another, then we will be able to do a true and correct write up about it.

Isn't the detector just a 2 type one being a pulse and one being a vlf?  As i understand it ,it has 2 heads one for pulse and one for vlf you change out for what hunting needs you want? For 2150 us dollars isnt bad if it is even as deep as our american detectors,as I have had a  TDI and they are really not suited for real deep pulse caches and have had a pulse 2000 which was I believe deeper than the TDI,but the TDI has discrimination on it by way of a ground balance. I have also used Fosters pulses and they are superior for coins but not sure about deep caches for them as didnt test them for caches. Am I missing something here?Huh?   thanks

There has been a couple of people that has gotten this detector and says its a deep detector and say they will never look back at what they did have as the Deepers is the best. I have a friend that has a new blisstool (vlf) and have seen the results on coins in ground and will beat about anything we (USA) have to offer even an Australian ML. Altho thay are made in Bulgaria. I look up to you folks that can build your own  detectors as that would be the ultimate task.   You guys on here are masters of the art.   thanks  shortribs
