I've known a few folks who have utilized electrolysis and then "regrew" the patina by leaving them outdoors for a bit.  Their efforts were effective.

On a different note, there are also a few other "techniques" I'm aware of that some dishonest folks employ for regrowing patinas to improve the value of a coin, but I'll neither mention them nor do I practice them.

That seems a bit pointless cleaning a coin and then trying to put the corrosion/patina back on! strange! But honestly a coin thats worth a few buks wouldnt get "zapped" with the electrolysis not me anyways. Cheers all. HH.  Lee   Smiley   Detecting
